Emcure took active participation in the XIX International AIDS Conference at Washington DC from 22nd to 27th July. The biennial International AIDS Conference is the premier gathering for those working in the field of HIV, as well as policy makers, persons living with HIV and other individuals committed to ending the pandemic.
For Emcure that has operations spread across more than 65 countries, AIDS 2012 is the perfect platform to showcase its commitment to HIV/AIDS management.
Emcure’s pavilion has been visited by many dignitaries that includes – H. E. Dr. Kenneth Kaunda – The first president of Zambia, Minister of Health from Jamaica, Minister of Health from Mozambique, Deputy Minister of Health from Zimbabwe, Country Heads of National AIDS Control Programme from India, Ghana, D R Congo, Kenya and several countries in Africa, South East Asia and Latin American countries.
Emcure’s initiatives in bringing novel antiretroviral drugs partnering with Innovators and corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities to extend care and support to people living with HIV (PLH) have been appreciated by one and all.

Peoples Health Organisation (PHO), India’s first NGO in the field of prevention and control of HIV organised a program commemorating 25 years of HIV Care in India on 3rd June 2012 at Mumbai.
On this platform PHO felicitated Mr. A. K. Khanna, COO & Executive Director, Emcure, for his commendable work and contributions in the field of HIV management and care.

The program was graced by the presence of Ms. Priya Datt, MP, and Shri Kiran Shantaram. The program called "Yeh Jeewan Hai..." – a tribute to the life of those affected by HIV, with the theme to bring their “Family, Friends, Well-wishers and care takers of HIV on one platform” to de-stigmatise the disease. Emcure corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives aimed at reducing stigma and enhancing access to care and treatment was well appreciated.
