Care & Support cell is established by Emcure to enhance the reach of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives taken for the benefit of People Living with HIV (PLH).
First of such initiative under Care & Support cell was opening of TAAL in January 2006 at Pune. TAAL is an exclusive pharmacy that is run by positive people for positive people.
TAAL provides uninhibited access to
- Treatment
- HIV medication at low cost and
- Counseling
Emcure has launched second TAAL at Nagpur in July 2006 in association with INP+, NMP+ and NNP+. This center will also provide the above mentioned TAAL services and will benefit the PLH form Vidarbha region and Central India region.
Emcure Pharmaceuticals is open to partner/associate with Network of Positive People/organization to achieve the common goal, ‘enhancing the quality of life of PLH’. This is a call for forming an association to fight against HIV/AIDS together.

PLHs Enrolled at TAAL
TAAL has received an exponential response from all part of Maharashtra (especially the Western Part). It has gathered more than 500 clients till the end of August 2006 and the number is increasing day by day.

ARV Free Therapy
Emcure to fulfill its corporate responsibility has taken a step ahead in care and support and has adopted 20 PLHs on ART who were unable to start their treatment because of financial restrictions. Therapy card was provided to them to monitor free medication and adherence to treatment.
